Arclinea Arredementi spa, the leading kitchen manufacturer in Italy, is opening a new flagship store. Located at 91 3 rd Street, Arclinea San Francisco is within walking distance of the main arts and shopping areas.
Arclinea features a completely contemporary concept offering inventive solutions and startling details. The Arclinea Collection, designed and coordinated by Antonio Citterio, features functional and trend-setting kitchens. Citterio, renowned architect and designer, is the recipient of Elle Décor’s 2004 Designer of the Year Award.
New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, and now San Francisco are the Arclinea showrooms established in the United States thanks to a successful collaboration between Arclinea and its selected Partners.
The opening of the Arclinea San Francisco showroom represents for Arclinea a further step towards successfully developing a retail distribution network in the U.S. market in line with the image and design philosophy of the Arclinea brand.
Future showroom openings are scheduled in the second half of 2004; in particular, Arclinea Miami in late autumn.
Arclinea San Francisco is a project developed by partner Charles Wilson and his daughter, Eriche Wilson the project was coordinated by the Arclinea Design staff.
Charles Wilson is a professor of Art who has taught at Yale University and the University of Illinois/Chicago. He is the recipient of numerous national awards and grants and is also an internationally recognized scholar on Russian Constructivism.
Additionally, Prof. Wilson has an architectural practice in Chicago designing and building award-winning architectural projects in Chicago and New Orleans. He began his partnership with Arclinea in 2000 along with his son and architect Aaron Wilson and architect Susan Patenaude.
Eriche Wilson has 20 years of experience in the food and wines business and most recently was the Vice President of Human Resources for an international wines company. On staff with Arclinea San Francisco is architect David Virtue.
The official opening, sponsored by Dwell magazine, will be held Thursday 3 June from 6:30 – 9:30pm. The evening will begin with an opening welcome by Dott. Francesco Sciortino, Italian Counsel General. The event will feature live cooking demonstrations with Italian chef, Giancarlo Acciavatti as well as a discussion hosted by Dwell editor, Sam Grawe.
